  • He assumed the duties of the Director of Administration and Finance Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE in 1973.
  • First Secretary in June 1974.
  • Consul General, Consulate General of the UAE in Bandar Abas, Iran from June 1974 to May 1986.
  • Counselor, June 1975
  • Minister Plenipotentiary, June 1977
  • Promoted to Ambassador Rank since September 1984
  • Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to the Republic of India from April 1987 to November 2001
  • Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in New Delhi for one year in 1995
